Career and Experiential Learning Examples Course

Overview

The purpose of this course is to share content examples for an experiential learning course such as an internship, fieldwork, or practicum. These courses tie closely to the Strategic Enrollment and Retention Plan (SERP) efforts to identify High Impact Practices that support student success. These examples come from various faculty and programs and tie to the best practices found through the Career and Experiential Learning in Online Education Literature Review completed in 2022.

Course Structure

The course is organized using the following Modules:

  • Goals / Agreements for the Experiences

  • Professional Development

  • Career

  • Activity Tracking

  • Reflection

The examples provided in each module are created as individual pages. These are intended for you to consider and use for the purposes of your course. These are not required elements of a course, rather they are ideas to help you start thinking about your course's content.
