The Creative Brief is integrated into the bottom of Course Blueprints and is used A Creative Brief is used by Multimedia Developers (MMD) to keep track of any multimedia deliverables utilizing an eCampus Center Multimedia Developer. The Creative Brief they are working on for a course. This allows project team members to more easily and efficiently communicate information specific to multimedia for courses, defining the what, where, and when . It is also a useful reference for future requests.Template Blueprint with Creative Briefmultimedia is being created for a course. Some courses may not utilize a multimedia developer and can be noted in the creative brief.
As of July 2022, Creative Briefs have been added to the bottom of Course Design and Development (CDD) Blueprints. MMDs will tag items in the Creative Brief when any actions are required of any team members.

The Creative Brief is integrated into the Blueprint and provides a specific place for all parties to be able to view and keep track of all the media content the MMD’s are working on for that course. Any information received outside of this doc relevant to course media will be added to the Creative Brief by MMD for reference. As of July 2022, Creative Briefs are integrated directly into each Blueprint, making it easy to locate and quickly start adding content/links. This will also save time from having to create a new Creative Brief for each course.
MMDs will tag items within the Creative Brief just like a course Blueprint when additional information or action is needed from instructors on multimedia for the course.

Instructor must first meet early in the development process (week 3 or sooner) to clarify expectations, explain what is possible, and establish multimedia deliverables for the course.
IDCs should invite MMD to this meeting. Assigned MMDs can be found under the ‘Task Info’ tab of Quickbase projects. MMDs update this section with the Instructor and IDC in their first meeting (week 4 or sooner) to establish dates, deadlines, and milestones for media content in the course. Items will be checked off by MMD as they occur.

MMD will meet with the IDC and Instructor early in the development process to clarify expectations and define multimedia deliverables needing help and MMD will add those to the Creative Brief along with meeting notes, and deadlines. For more steps and tips on using the Creative Brief, please visit our article Working in the Creative Brief MMDs add any deliverables agreed upon with Instructor. All deliverables should include a proper Title, Any Media Links From Instructors, Course Location, and Notes that will help define what the deliverable is to include. Once deliverable items have been established and with the discretion of MMD, faculty can update deliverable titles, original content links, location, or notes. Instructors should tag items when updates are made or action is required mentioning the assigned MMD and/or ecampusvideo and MMDs will do the same.

MMD will add a Final Media Link for each deliverable and tag project team members when ready for build and/or review. There may be cases when links can be created and built in the course prior to being finalized with Instructor. The Asset Finalized box will be checked when deliverables are officially completed by MMD.
