These steps outline the process Multimedia Student Assistants(MSA) undergo, in partnership with a Multimedia Developer (MMD), to create multimedia for Boise State University online courses.
MMD assigns project to Multimedia Student Assistant( MSA ) in a meeting, makes a Trello card, assigns the MMSA to a task in Quickbase.
MMD shares access to course creative brief if needed, where student can help to track the project progress. This is also where video Panopto links will be shared with the course instructor.
MSA makes a rough draft(s) and shares draft(s) with MMD for review. If it’s a video project, through Panopto. Illustrator design files should live in drive so anyone can access and update if needed.
MMD gives feedback in a meeting and with notes then the MMSA makes changes, sharing the next draft for review with MMD. If video, replace the file in the Panopto link.
MMD shares the draft with the instructor and Instructional Design Consultant (IDC) for review.
MMD shares feedback from instructor/IDC with the MSA via email or a meeting.
MSA makes more changes (or MMD takes over to complete).
Once changes are made (If video, replace the file in the panopto link) the video(s) or design(s) are submitted to the MMD team and separately with the instructor and IDC for final review.
Final changes are made and media is added to the final location.
MSA marks project task complete 100% in Quickbase.
Make sure final version and design files are in drive for future reference.
Video projects are archived on the eCampus Video server.
