Job Summary
The Multimedia Student Assistant (MSA) position works alongside Multimedia Developers (MMD) at Boise State’s eCampus Center to conceptualize, process, and produce a variety of multimedia for online courses.

Working within the Division of Extended Studies, Boise State’s eCampus Center is dedicated to expanding online degrees and classes beyond the traditional boundaries to meet the academic needs of students anytime and anywhere.
Job Details
MSAs work independently with general supervision. Work can be a combination of remote and in-person. A computer and high-speed internet connection is required when working remotely. A workspace is available for student workers in the Extended Studies offices located at the Ron and Linda Yanke Family Research Park, 220 Parkcenter Boulevard Boise, ID 83706.
Working Hours and Pay:
$14 per hour
MSA work hours can be scheduled around their class schedules but are expected to be 20 hours per week Monday—Friday, 8:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m. Students may work up to 29 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours during the summer starting at a rate of $14 per hour.

Essential functions include:
Creating multimedia for online courses (animations, audio, graphics, interactives, videos, etc.)
Record, edit, and export videos using studio equipment and Adobe CC software
Collaborate closely with team members on projects for guidance and reviews
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently to meet deadlines
Understand and use Boise State branding and accessibility guidelines
Using Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Using Zoom for online meetings
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possesses graphic design, typography, video, and multimedia development skills
Willingly, effectively, and proactively communicate and collaborate with team members
Familiar with current digital best practices and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
Ability to take critical feedback and make recommended changes promptly
Facilitates diverse, inclusive, and culturally sensitive materials to serve global audiences
Additional Job Duties:
Research new creative tools and techniques to improve the student experience
Build a portfolio of innovative media elements for instructional designers to reference
Thinking outside the box and finding ways to solve problems more effectively
Willingness to give and receive critical feedback with an open mind
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in filmmaking and graphic design
Working knowledge of Adobe CC, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with professional camera equipment, lighting, audio, and green screening techniques
Proficient with Canon camera systems
Experience working in Canvas (LMS)
Experience building educational games or interactives using H5P, Captivate, etc.
Experience using QuickBase project management system (PMS)
Understanding of HTML5/CSS3 development
Knowledge in 3D, AR/VR, or animation
