Recommendations When Using the LTI in Canvas
Do NOT load the assignment in a new tab when creating a Flip LTI assignment. This may separate any instruction provided in Canvas from the topic in Flip where students will respond to the instructions or prompts.
Post rubrics in the course site as separate documents (e.g., Google Docs) to be used in tandem with faculty viewing and grading of Flip LTI Assignments.
Leverage existing Canvas LTI Integration and Flip Help Center resources for both faculty and students as both applications are prone to continuous updates.
In the Master Course
Build as a No Submission Assignment
Include all details (instructions, prompt, points, et cetera), but leave it as a regular assignment
The instructor will create Flip Integration and topics ahead of opening the live course.
Adding Flip to a course more than once
Be sure NOT to add Flip to a course more than once when using Settings>Apps>+ App
Canvas may not warn you it is already present and instead add a second faulty app which could result in assignments that do not function properly.
