Adding Banners + Course Cards In Canvas

This article describes how best to manage banners and course cards in Canvas courses.

File Organization

Upload files to Files > Banner and Course Card folder.

Adding Banners To Pages

When adding banner(s) to course pages, use image options to make the necessary adjustments. If using text in banners not written on the page, add alt text necessary for screen readers. You can use the Immersive Reader found in upper-right of Canvas pages to verify text that will be read aloud.

To add your course card image click Settings from the course nav and click Choose Image.
